The construction of Wrigley Field was completed in 1914 for the Chicago Whales Federal League. After the Whales demise the Chicago Cubs began playing, at then Weegham Park, in April of 1916. Over the years several modifications and changes have been made to this historic ballpark. The ballpark can seat 41,118 fans. Wrigley Field not only offers fans an experience in baseball history, but they have added some more modern features such as additional seating, private boxes, a themed restaurant and batting and pitching cages.The Cubs have no plans to move from its historic home.
