Turner Field was originally built for the 1996 Olympic Games and was modified to become the home of the Atlanta Braves. The Braves played their first game at Turner Field in April of 1997.
The ballpark features many attractions and amenities such as Turner Beach with concessions, picnic area and cabana bar, Monument Grove which has statues of baseball greats, Scout Alley where fans learn about scouting and test out their own baseball skills and the Braves Chop House where fans can gather for a meal and can watch the game.
