Philadelphia, south of NYC on the Delaware River, is the state’s largest city and is literally filled with historic landmarks and sites to visit, many dating from the 1600’s. Gettysburg National Military Park

Independence National Historical Park

Twenty city blocks of Philadelphia preserve sites from the earliest days of the country, including the President’s House and the First and Second Banks of the United States. Founded in 1898 and designated a national historic landmark in 1987, Kennywood is a traditional amusement park which continues to thrive. Phantom’s Revenge, one of six coasters, has a second drop of 230 feet and boasts speeds of 85 mph, while Skyrocket is guaranteed to induce an extreme adrenaline rush. Ohiopyle State Park

Youghiogheny River Gorge is stunningly beautiful, and the river sets the background for active recreation. Navigate exciting class III and IV whitewater rapids or slip down two natural waterslides.
