Post Falls, Idaho, is located in Kootenai County, very close to the state line between Washington and Idaho. The city was named after Frederick Post who relocated to the area in 1871 to build a sawmill along the Spokane River. The city has seen tremendous growth over the past couple of decades, and it looks as though it will continue to grow, largely because of its location near Couer d’Alene and Spokane, Washington. Post Falls’ abundance of land makes it an ideal place to settle down without feeling crowded. The city is a hub of activity, somewhat due to the fact that the Spokane River travels through it.
