The 4 star Ashtree House Hotel is set in its own tree lined courtyard and walled garden within the fashionable central Oakshaw Conservation area which is home to over 100 listed buildings including the unique working Coats Observatory; the Charles Wilsons former John Neilston Institute; the Thomas Coats Memorial Church and the central museum and library to name but a few. Built as a pair of Merchants Houses around 1795 Ashtree House is a listed regency townhouse of some merit and has been converted into an intimate luxury destination whilst preserving the authenticity of the building. All rooms have beautiful modern decoration; a wealth of original detail; operational large Georgian sash and case windows; beautiful views to town centre or walled gardens; comfortable sitting areas; original Scottish art; full control central heating; fantastic quality beds with Egyptian cotton sheets; full digital media package including flat screen TV with digital TV and radio channels; DVD player along with free wi-fi access; quality fully tiled en-suite bathrooms and access to iron and hairdryers. Tea and coffee facilities and toiletries are standard. No smoking throughout. The public areas are ideal for relaxation with comfortable seating in front of open fires. A walk in the walled gardens is made more memorable by the dramatic views of the surrounding church spires. A stress free stay for our guests is our priority and free private parking along with our free airport shuttle is just some of our benefits. Additional Information; Children age 5 and under stay free in the room with parents and in existing bedding. Children age 6-11 receive a 50pct reduction. Other Child Policy Information; Children up to age 11 stay free in room if available on fold down beds. The hotel reserves the right to without prior notification cancel any reservation with an invalid or incomplete credit card number.
