This summer Big Mountain Resort will be investing in its future spending millions of dollars on infrastructure upgrades and taking the first steps in the creation of our newly-approved village plan. During the ongoing construction projects Big Mountain will be open and offer a wide range of summer adventure activities from June 20 through Sept. 3.The Hibernation House is located at Big Mountain Resort 20 miles from the Flathead airport (FCA). Each guest staying in the hotel is treated to a full hot buffet style breakfast (Winter) continental breakfast (Summer) included in the nightly lodging rate. The Front Desk is staffed 24 hours a day. Each room has a 1 double bed and a bunk bed. There is a groomed run that leads right to the door of the hotel by th e ski room and it is a short walk down the driveway and across the road to be able to ski again.Whatever you do dont miss Walk in the Treetops a half-day adventure that offers a unique view of a majestic forest and the interconnected eco-systems. The walk is a guided tour led by expert forest interpreters and offers spectacular views across the lakes and canyons of the incredible Flathead Valley.
