Nothing tops the Beech Mountain Inns in eastern Americas highest town with an elevation of 5 506 feet. The inns compliment the mountain setting with the old-world charm of the rustic inns of the European Alps. The Top of the Beech is the mountains favorite Ski Lodge. In winter the inns are a snow scene and one can walk to the ski slopes or one can catch a complimentary shuttle to the village about a mile away. In spring the inns are a perfect hideaway to spend a day or two.
