National Geographic Traveler selected this historic - listed on the National Register of Historic Places as an Appalachia treasure being representative of the Southern Appalachian Mountain heritage from the early 1900s. Owned and operated by U S Military Retiree Built next to the once highest railroad station east of the Rockies- at 3500 feet-the Inn has served a century as a retreat and relief from the summer heat found in the Southeast USA.
