Overlooking the narrow straight between Faial and Pico (the canal) Hotel Do Canal is on an oceanfront avenue in the historic area of the capital of Faial and approximately seven miles from Horta Airport. This location is also close to the Pico ferry departure point yacht marina and the famous Peters Cafe Sport. Faial one of Portugals nine isles has a history of American whaling ships and ocean-crossing sailors.
