Zoo Emmen - Emmen is known for its' famous Zoo. In the zoo the animals are grouped accourding to the continent in which they belong.
WWII Museum - Herinneringscentrum Kamp Westerbork in Hooghalen was built in 1983. It was the result of a private initiative combined with financial support from the Dutch government. The museum houses a permanent exhibition on the history of camp Westerbork.
Drents Museum - Museum During every exhibition the Drents Museum offers the possibility of a guided tour by one of our expert guides. It is possible as well to book a tour on the history of the museum buildings
Orvelte - The little village Orvelte is an op air museum. Here people live and work like 100 years ago. There is an old cheese factory where there is made cheese in an ecological and biological way, there are some galleries and art shops.
