The hotel is centrally located in the heart of Tromso the capital of Northern Norway. From its unique location the hotel overlooks across the Tromsosundet sound and has a fantastic view over the harbour the Arctic Cathedral (Ishavskatedralen) and the Tromso Brigde. All 180 guest rooms are of high international standard and have a wonderful view over the sea. The hotel has two restaurants Gallionen Restaurant and Brasseriet . In addition they have two bars Galleriet Bar and Skibsbroen located in a area of the hotel where it is possible to admire the fjord meeting the sea. Excellent seminar and conference facilities are available here at the Rica Ishavshotel; the Rica Hall can accommodate up to 450 people and the Nord-Norge Hall up to 90 people. In addition there are 8 smaller conference rooms with capacity for up to 25 people.
