Scottish Exhibition & Conference Centre (SECC) - Glasgow's largest indoor event centre plays host to today's biggest music artists as well as international conferences and exhibitions.
Glasgow City Chambers - One of the city's most prestigious buildings the City Chambers stands in the heart of Glasgow. Completed in 1888, it has for over a hundred years been the headquarters of successive councils serving the City of Glasgow. Free tours at 10.30am and 2.30pm
Glasgow Cathedral & Necropolis - Worship has continued on this site for 800 years. One of the finest displays of post-war stained glass. Victorian Necropolis is a memorial to the merchant patriarchs of the City. Includes monuments designed by Alexander Greek Thompson and Mackintosh.
Glasgow School of Art (Charles Rennie Mackintosh) - Mackintosh, architect, designer, artist and alumnus, heralded the birth of a new style in 20th century European architecture with his designs in 1896 for the new art school building which was completed in 1909. Tours twice daily.
House for an Art Lover (Charles Rennie Mackintosh) - In 1901, Glasgows most famous architect, Charles Rennie Mackintosh entered a competition to design a House for an Art Lover. The result was a portfolio of outstanding designs,which have since been admired by Mackintosh enthusiasts throughout the world.
Museum of Transport - One of the most popular museums of transport in the UK. It attracts half a million visitors a year. It was founded in 1964 and houses many exhibits of national and international importance. Admission free.
Xscape Braehead - The UKs biggest REAL indoor snow slope, a 12 screen multiplex cinema, 22 lane bowling, rock climbing on one of the largest freestanding climbing walls in the UK, aerial adventure course, passenger carrying robot, jump and freefall on the Fandrop
O2 Academy Glasgow - A multi-million pound refurbishment restored the venues beautiful original art deco features and a beautiful, historic building. O2 Academy Glasgow has a vibrant diary of rock, pop, dance, comedy and club nights.

Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum - Scotland's Must-See Museum. Forget everything you think you know about museums, Kelvingrove is different. Following a three-year, £27.9 million restoration, Kelvingrove now has over 8,000 objects on display over three floors. Admission Free.
The Burrell Collection - Wander around collections of medieval art, tapestries, alabasters, stained glass and English oak furniture. Includes many European paintings, including works by Degas and Cézanne and an important collection of Islamic art. Admission Free.
Glasgow Royal Concert Hall - Home of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra. Plays host to a range of quality music from classical to folk, world, country, rock and pop. There really is something for everyone in UNESCO's City of Music.
City Halls and Old Fruitmarket - Home to the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and The Scottish Chamber Orchestra this music complex also houses rehearsal, recording, broadcasting and webcasting facilities. The City Hall dates from 1841 and was reopened in 2006 after major refurbishment.
Barrowlands - Small Rock/Indie venue. Voted 2nd best Small Venue in Europe and Best UK Venue in a Radio 1 poll.
