Many of Bruges* beautiful buildings date back to the 15th century when the city was flourishing both economically and politically. One such mansion is Hotel De Tuilerien within easy walking distance of the city*s historic centre and facing Den Dijver Bruges* most picturesque canal. The atmosphere is that of an elegant period home luxuriously furnished with richly coloured fabrics complemented by antiques rugs and paintings. All the rooms have been given a very personal touch in their very recent redecoration; indeed 18 new superior rooms were added at this time. Crisp white linen and a generous scattering of cushions on the bed enhance the sense of luxury. By contrast an ultra modern hammam sauna Jacuzzi and indoor swimming pool offer you total relaxation. Nearby lie several of Bruges* principal sights including the Groeninge Museum with its famous collection of Flemish paintings.
