Thanners - A great menu of mixed food, all reasonably priced. Happy hour from 10-11pm every night with special priced cocktails. Extremely popular.
Restaurant Romer - Serving cozy breakfasts, fast lunches or an extensive dinner - experience a cuisine combining a regional fare and international dishes.
Zum schwarzen Walfisch - The best place in Heidelberg for breakfast. Very popular with the local people. Also serve lunch and evening meals with a changing menu. Very good service, a nice atmosphere and good food make the Walfisch highly recommended.
Taj Mahal - Indian Decor, Tandoori, location opposite the hotel.
POP - One of the best adresses for Italian cuisine. Weekly Jazz and Pop performance with dinner. Perfect ambience, laid back atmosphere and excellent food!
Cabana - Cuban-American restaurant with small bar area. Popular with the local expatriate American crowd as well as the locals. A great menu with some good fish dishes. A little expensive. If you like smoking cigars, this is the place to go.
Cafe Journal - Lovely coffee house. A good menu with a fairly large choice including very good salads, some local German specialities and some pasta dishes. Also serves a good breakfast. Definitely worth a visit.
Cafe Rossi - Has the biggest beer garden area in central Heidelberg. The menu changes on a weekly basis. Serves coffee, tea, soft and alcoholic drinks. The menu offers a wide choice of reasonably prices cuisine.
Cafe Gekco - Bar snacks, tapas, main courses (steaks etc) and salads are on the menu. A busy, trendy bar popular with a youngish crowd. Interesting interior design.
Hemingways - Famous for Flammkuchen. Mainly international cuisine. Nice beer garden open during the summer with view of the river.
Gasthaus Hackteufel - Cozy wine bar where you can taste various wines and beers. The menu contains specialities from the region as well as from abroad.
Medoc - Cool coffee bar with restaurant to the rear. A variety of breakfast available, small snacks, salads, pasta and a varaiety of other dishes.

Dorfsch�nke - Simple restaurant with great food.Famous Flammkuchen+a good selection of german food. Highly recommended.
Alt Hendesse - Has a lovely beer garden to the rear. Very popular with its reasonably priced German dishes and enormous salads.
Zum Roten Ochsen - German style restaurant, very popular with the locals. Has a very good selection of hot and cold dishes including enormous salads.
